Ride Journal:
Our fourth day of riding was shorter and easier than yesterday. Yesterday, our longest day at 50 miles, was intentionally followed by shorter days...two 30 mile days.

We were not in a big hurry to leave the Harper's Ferry Hostel...gave the guys a little time to relax. I hope it made for a more relaxed day for everyone on the trail. Some of the boys are tired and needed some encouragement. Had to tell a couple to find an easy pace...and then ride a little harder!

I was very thankful for the footbridge at the washout that was around milepost 52 (or somewhere close to that). I had seen videos of people crossing the creek before the footbridge and it looked difficult...but now it was pretty easy.

We passed a lot of pretty scenery again and several deer were running and playing along the Towpath...just so much to take in.

We are camping at the Chisel Branch Hiker/Biker campsite. It's ok, nothing great...but I do love the free price and the beautiful view. It was nice once again to swim in the Potomac to clean off following a hot day's ride.
